SCHEDULE THE TIME

Discipline is required to schedule the time needed to complete our practices. How often do we tell ourselves that we should make a change in our lives and how often do we simply not find the time?

Time is available to us all in different ways around our different responsibilities, and we are all in a process of continually making choices on how we are going to use that time.

Being too busy or overwhelmed can make us feel like we simply just do not have any more energy to give. But rather than seeing these practices as something else that is going to take from our energy; can we instead see them as something special from which we can receive energy from?

We live in a world with potential for unlimited distraction, but does fifteen minutes receiving information from a screen serve us better than receiving information from quiet awareness?

A sense of mindful emptiness, when experienced, can truly be far more enriching than always searching for something to fill our attention.
