The relationship between our body and our mind is a reflection of the phenomenal alchemy occurring within us. This Divine earth provides everything that we need to promote our holistic diet, from the skies above and from the soil below.
Seed being utilised from the moment of our conception, and in seeds we can continue to fuel our vitality through all that they yield. The more though that these natural gifts become processed, in search of something more; the more power they lose as their Divine purity depletes. Every additional step that a product takes between source and eventual consumption unfortunately results in a reduction of its nutritional and energetic value.
Although ready made processed products are sold in plastic as quick and favourable for us to consume, the process itself is usually not. Where has the product that we put into our stomach come from and what has it had to endure to get onto our plate?
Although we may want what is branded on the front of a product, it is important to consider whether we actually want all of the ingredients listed on the back? Sure, it does take more time to look into everything that we choose to consume, in order to be able to truly consider its benefits. But surely it’s worth it.
It certainly doesn’t take much time to look into the ingredients listed on a fruit, vegetable, herb, nut or seed, plus these predominantly alkaline forming foods can promote maintaining an optimal body pH, where we function most effectively and produce the neurotransmitters that make us feel happy and connected.
Fill our already acidic stomachs with other acid forming foods and our body pH becomes acidic too, making its processes more reactive and more out of sync. So ultimately, are these processed foods really convenient for our lives or are they just convenient for fuelling our habits?
The more we consume anything, the more our body then wants to continue consuming it. So what do we want to keep consuming? Diet is often sold to be complicated but it doesn’t have to be at its core. Choose more raw foods to fill your kitchen, as fresh from source as is possible, and your body and mind will come to feel more fresh and natural in its state of being.
Please do remember though, that when evaluating any big changes made in your diet it is expected to experience an initial period of some fatigue and possibly feeling unwell, as your body is given the opportunity to flush out what isn’t serving it and comes to adapt to new sources of energy. In which case, do not to exert yourself too much physically during this time, until you have found your new vibrancy.
Of course, it is not only foods which we absorb and a conscious approach considers all other products carefully too; across oral care, skin care, hair care and remedies. It really is astonishing to find so many products available in these fields containing an array of chemicals and heavy metals, and not offering any clear insight into these threats to our holistic health and well being.
Indeed, information and entertainment equally comes sold through products, and it is essential to also analyse what exactly we are permitting into our minds via our eyes and ears. Is the source well intentioned, promoting truth and designed to make us feel better? If not, then no surprise really that too much of it is going to make us feel worse! One last but essential consideration on that note; the source and the quality of the water that you are drinking and using each day. Although it may look clean, its purity levels are unfortunately often not.
