USING ENCOURAGEMENT AS A PRACTICE

The words that we tell ourselves within (the ones that no one else can hear) can either lift us into positive action or push us down into a negative state of mind. We all naturally seek encouragement as a developing child but should that then stop when we become adults? We all naturally feel more compelled to give encouragement to children but then who is going to encourage us?

New solutions can only result from trial and error and in that there will naturally be both successes and failures. Encouragement is essential in empowering the positives and not giving life to the negatives.

What are three encouraging statements that you can tell yourself the moment you wake up in the morning? Three that I always turn to; “I can”, “I choose Love”, “I am powerful”.

What three things can you then encourage your child for doing today? Or your partner? Or your friend? Or perhaps just someone that comes into your awareness whose actions reflect those that you wish to see in the world?

We may be restricted in many choices right now but we are not restricted in the magical array of empowering words that we can all use to help transform our shared reality.
